Considering 606 Avenue Rd for its transit access and local food scene

I’m looking at 606 Avenue Rd and love that it's super close to the TTC. I've heard the area has some cute cafes and restaurants, which is a plus for me. How walkable is it around there, especially for running errands? Any must-visit spots nearby?
