Considering 2178 Queen St E for easy ttc access and downtown commutes

I'm looking into moving to 2178 Queen St E and I'm curious about how the bike lanes are in the area. Can you easily get downtown or to Union Station on the streetcar? Also, how reliable are the TTC connections in terms of frequency, especially during rush hour?
