Found a spot at 36 Maitland St, what's the local coffee scene like?

I'm curious about life in the 36 Maitland St area. I love coffee shops and I'm looking for good local spots to grab a brew. Also, how's the transit access for heading downtown? I want to make sure I can get around easily. Any recommendations or thoughts?
