Need advice on renting in Liberty Village vs. downtown condos

I'm moving to Toronto this August and torn between renting a condo in Liberty Village or an apartment downtown. I've seen condos for around $2,500 and apartments for $2,200. Is the vibe in Liberty Village worth the extra cost? What amenities should I prioritize? Help!
