Looking at 1191 ellesmere rd for easy ttc access to downtown

I'm considering moving to 1191 Ellesmere Rd and want to know about the TTC situation for getting downtown. Are there decent bus routes around? Also, how does cycling work in this area? Any bike lanes or major streets to avoid? Thanks!
