Exploring the rental scene in Parkdale

Hey folks, I've been checking out rentals in Parkdale lately. Love the vibe, but I'm curious about utility costs here. Do most places include water and heating in rent, or are we paying for those separately? Also, is it safe to walk around at night? Any personal experiences would be great!
