Rent in Toronto is a total nightmare!

I can't believe the landlord wants $2800 for a bachelor! How is anyone supposed to afford this?! I just got outbid AGAIN and it’s beyond frustrating. I’ve viewed 15 places and they’re all taken within hours. This market is impossible and I feel completely defeated!
