Looking at 291 The Kingsway – how's the kj transit for downtown commutes?

I'm considering a place at 291 The Kingsway and need to know how easy it is to get downtown using the TTC. Any thoughts on streetcar or bus frequency nearby? Also, how's the walkability around there for grabbing groceries or heading to a café on weekends?
