How much do movers cost for a 1 bedroom in toronto suburbs

I'm moving from downtown to the suburbs and I'm totally unprepared. I thought I could find a good crew for under $500, but quotes are all over the place! I'm also worried about moving during the last week of the month—are prices even higher then?
