Is Spending 60% of Income on Rent the New Normal in Toronto?

I'm really worried because I find myself spending 50-70% of my income on rent. Is this how everyone is managing in Toronto? It feels really unsustainable, and I'm constantly wondering how others cope. Are we all just accepting that rent is eating our paychecks these days?
