Average cost to hire movers toronto for a small studio apartment

I'm moving from a small studio in Forest Hill to a more affordable unit downtown and trying to figure out how much it will cost to hire movers. I've heard quotes can vary widely, sometimes by $300 or more! Any advice on the average costs to expect for a simple move like this?
