Can landlords increase rent anytime in Toronto under Ontario RTA?

I’m planning to renew my lease soon, but I've heard that there are strict rules about how often landlords can raise rent. Can anyone clarify how often a landlord can legally increase rent under the Ontario Residential Tenancies Act? What kind of notice should I expect if they do?
