Confusion Over Pet Deposits and Fees in Ontario

I'm not sure if pet deposits are legal in Ontario or if my landlord can ask for a pet fee. Can they charge a separate pet deposit, or is that considered illegal? Also, what's the difference between pet rent and a pet fee? Any insights on what landlords can really charge for pets would be helpful.
