Frustration with Landlord Repairs: Who's Responsible?

I'm new to Toronto and my appliances have been broken for weeks. I've reached out to my landlord multiple times, but they won't fix anything! Whose responsibility is it to repair this stuff? How fast must they respond to maintenance issues? I need clarity on tenant rights in situations like this!
