How much do movers cost for my one bedroom in forest hill toronto

I'm moving from a one-bedroom in Forest Hill to a smaller unit nearby and the quotes from movers are all over the place. One crew quoted $700 while another asked for $1,200! Plus, some requested cash only, no receipt. Is this normal for Toronto at all?
