How much do movers charge for a two bedroom in toronto county

I’m relocating from my 2-bedroom in Markham to downtown Toronto and just got a quote that seemed cheap at $600. Turns out they charged extra for stairs and packing materials, bringing the total to $900! Has anyone else had this experience with their movers? What should I really expect to pay?
