Average Toronto 1BR Rent Hits $2400 - This is Unsustainable!

I can't believe the average rent for a 1BR is now $2400 in Toronto! Just last year, I was paying $1800, and at renewal, my landlord hiked it to $2600. How is anyone supposed to afford this in a city where salaries don't keep pace with rent increases? Something has to change.
