Landlord wants to be best friends - help with boundaries?

My landlord just invited me to a weekly 'tea and chat' session to discuss life and rent. It's adorable, but I don't know how to set boundaries! Is this weird or am I the odd one for wanting a little more space? Anyone else experience this kind of quirkiness with a landlord?
