Searching for decent 2BR under $2500 in Toronto

I'm hunting for a 2 bedroom apartment under $2,500 in Toronto and am feeling a bit overwhelmed! I've seen some listings but am concerned about the deposit limits and legalities. Are there specific neighborhoods where I can find a two bedroom $2500 or better deals? Any tips?
