Concerns about condo special assessment for first-time renters

I'm new to renting in Toronto and just heard about a special assessment affecting my condo. I'm anxious about how this could lead to increased condo fees or even rent hikes. Do renters like me have to pay for these assessments? Should I be worried about needing to leave if costs go up?
