How much can my landlord legally raise my rent in Toronto?

I've been living in my rental unit for over a year, and my landlord just told me there's going to be a rent increase. I'm not sure how much they're allowed to raise it, and I want to make sure it's legal. I heard there are guidelines for rent increases in Ontario—can someone explain?
