Average cost to hire movers for my 2 bedroom in parkdale anyone know

I’m moving from a 2-bedroom in Parkdale and getting quotes from various movers. Some are charging over $1,200 for just a few hours, which seems high to me. Is that the norm? Also, has anyone dealt with surprise charges after booking? Help!
