Winter heating woes for renters in Toronto?

Hey everyone! I'm looking at studios for rent and I'm a bit concerned about winter heating costs. Are landlords generally good about providing heating, or should I expect to cover it myself? Also, how do you handle winter moves amid all the snow? Any tips would be appreciated!
