How much do movers cost toronto for a condo near yonge eglinton

I just got a quote for moving my stuff from a condo near Yonge and Eglinton, and it’s way higher than expected—$1,200 for a 1-bedroom! Has anyone else faced this with their movers in Toronto? I’m also worried about damage; the last crew left scratches on the floors and refused to fix it.
