How much do movers cost toronto winter move with icy walkways

I'm planning a winter move from a Markham condo to a loft in downtown Toronto, but I'm really worried about icy sidewalks and slippery stairs. Has anyone had experience with winter moving in the city? Also, how do I find affordable movers that won't break the bank during the busy season?
