Moving from forest hill to downtown toronto how much overlap rent

I'm in a bit of a bind after a breakup and need to move from my 2-bedroom in Forest Hill to a smaller downtown unit by the end of the month. I’m worried about double rent. How much overlap should I budget for, and are there any good movers that handle quick moves well?
