How much to hire movers for a 1 bedroom apartment in toronto

I just got quoted between $400 to $800 for a local move from Mississauga to downtown Toronto. What gives? One moving company estimated an hourly rate, while another gave me a flat fee that seemed way too high. I'm stressed about getting this right before my lease ends!
