Looking into 2550 Kingston Rd and the area around it

I'm checking out 2550 Kingston Rd and I'm curious about the walkability of the area. Are there good local shops or parks nearby? Also, how's the TTC access for getting downtown? I'm considering the liveliness of the neighborhood before making a decision.
