First-time renter in Toronto - a bit overwhelmed!

Hi everyone! I'm new to renting as my kids have moved out and I'm looking to downsize from my house to a condo. I feel a bit lost and overwhelmed apartment hunting. What should I expect? Any tips for a first time renter in Toronto? Thanks for your help!
