How much do movers cost toronto for emergency same-day move

I found myself in a real bind after a landlord issue and needed to move same day from a 1960s walk-up in Scarborough. I was quoted around $1,200, but only two movers showed up instead of three, making the whole process double the time. Anyone else have this happen? What did you pay?
