Landlord asking for damage deposit - is this legal in Ontario?

I'm really confused about the deposit rules here in Ontario. I know landlords can ask for first and last month’s rent, but is that it? Is a damage deposit even legal? How much can they legally ask for? And what happens if I want my last month back? Any help would be appreciated!
