Talk me out of moving to a small town for a lower rent

I'm considering moving to a small town where rent is $800/month versus $1500 in the city. Pros include saving money and less noise, but I'm worried about losing access to amenities, job opportunities, and social life. I work remotely but miss the city vibe. Help me decide!
