Just renewed my lease and my rent jumped from $1800 to $2600. How is anyone affording rent in Toronto anymore? With average 1BR rents now sitting at $2400, it feels impossible to keep up. I've even started looking at places in Oshawa—it's disheartening to feel priced out of my own city.
