How much do movers cost toronto for a 1 bedroom in king west

I’m moving to a 1-bedroom condo in King West next month and just got quotes from local movers ranging from $700 to over $1,200. Is there a reason for such a big price difference? I’ve also heard some horror stories about surprise charges on the moving day. Any tips on choosing affordable movers?
