What's the scene like around 40 Alexander St, near Church and Wellesley

I'm looking into 40 Alexander St since it's close to the Church-Wellesley Village. How’s the walkability around there? Any cool local shops or coffee spots nearby? Also, how's the transit access for getting downtown? Just trying to get a feel for the area.
