What's the transit vibe like near 1202 York Mills Rd for downtown trips

Hey everyone, I'm considering a move to 1202 York Mills Rd and need to know how it feels for daily trips downtown. Is the TTC reliable for rush hour rides? Also, how long does it actually take to get to Union Station from here? Any insights on bike lanes for weekend rides would be great too!
