Moving from Toronto: Condo vs Apartment Pros & Cons

I'm seriously considering a big move from Toronto to Vancouver or Calgary. Not sure if I should rent a condo or an apartment building. I've heard about long distance movers in Toronto; any experiences or advice on costs and logistics? How much does it cost to move across Canada?
