How much do movers cost toronto for a downtown to suburbs transition

I’m moving from a 1-bedroom condo at Yonge and Sheppard to a house in the suburbs next month. The quotes I’m getting from movers are all over the place—some say $600 while others are quoting over $1,000! Anyone know what the average should be and if I need to tip these guys on top of that?
