How much do movers cost for a 2 bedroom in toronto leslieville

We're moving from a semi-detached in Leslieville to a bigger place for our kids. A couple of moving companies quoted us anywhere from $800 to $1,500, which seems insane! Has anyone dealt with this? How do you know if you're getting ripped off or if the price is fair?
