Talk me out of moving to this pricey rental - $2,500 for 1BR

I'm torn about signing a lease for a $2,500 1-bedroom in a desirable neighborhood. Pros: Close to work and great amenities. Cons: It's above my budget and a bit smaller than I'd prefer. Should I hold out for a more affordable option, or is the convenience worth the cost? Need some perspective!
