Thinking of calling 27 Gamble Ave home, what’s in the area for pets?

I’m seriously considering 27 Gamble Ave, but I have a dog and need to know what the area offers for pet owners. Are there parks nearby or dog-friendly spots? Also, how's the transit access for getting downtown or to pet-friendly meetups?
