Moving to toronto with pets which neighborhoods are more accepting

I'm relocating from a Markham townhouse to a pet-friendly apartment downtown. My dog and I are having trouble finding rentals that accept pets—any tips on which areas are more flexible? I need to move by the end of the month and really want a space that suits us both!
