Can landlords ban smoking cannabis on the balcony?

I'm curious about smoking policies in rentals and condos in Toronto. Can landlords legally ban smoking or vaping entirely? What are the regulations regarding balcony smoking or designated smoking areas? Additionally, how do cannabis rules affect these policies? Any insights would be appreciated!
