Unusual parking situation - need rental advice

I’m moving to a new apartment in the city next month, but the place doesn’t include parking. I've found a nearby parking garage but it's quite expensive. Has anyone negotiated parking costs or found cheaper options within their lease agreements? I'm on a tight budget and could use guidance.
