Moving from a forest hill home to a smaller apartment worries about damage

I’m moving from a larger home in Forest Hill to a small apartment soon, and I’m really stressed about my expensive furniture and piano getting damaged. I've got quotes from several movers, but they all seem to vary widely—some even charge extra for delicate items. Is this normal in Toronto?
