Questioning Legality of Landlord's Demands for Various Deposits

I've been hearing about landlords in Toronto asking for all sorts of deposits: pet deposits, key deposits, and even damage deposits. Are these really legal? It feels like they’re just adding extra fees that aren’t justified. Can someone clarify what’s actually enforceable?
