Considering 329 The West Mall for easy transit to downtown toronto

I'm curious about daily life from 329 The West Mall. How convenient is the TTC for a quick trip to downtown? I'm also interested in bike lanes nearby for weekend biking. Any thoughts on the overall ease of transit from this location would be appreciated!
