Help! Assignment vs Sublet Confusion!

Hi everyone! I'm leaving my Toronto rental early and I'm really confused about assignment vs subletting. 🤔 What's the difference, and which is better for getting out of my lease? Do I need my landlord's approval for both? Looking for advice on how to permanently leave my lease safely! Thanks!
