36 Maitland St is so close to restaurants, but what’s the transit like?

I’m eyeing 36 Maitland St because I've heard it's close to some great eateries. I’m curious about how easy it is to catch the TTC from there, especially during rush hour. Also, is the street busy with foot traffic or fairly quiet? Looking for something walkable but not too hectic!
