What's the scoop on Liberty Village?

I've been checking out Liberty Village lately for studio apartments. The vibe seems super young and energetic, but I wonder if the rental prices are really worth it? Anyone know how the safety feels over there? And is it too hipster for my taste? Would love to hear thoughts!
